Born in Elche (Spain) in 1973. Living between Spain and Brazil, married to Graziela, proud dad of Olivia and Martina.
Since ROJO® was born, in March 2001, David Quiles Guilló has created an international emotional working structure of more than 40 associated directors and more than 1000 art contributors, a distribution network in 37 countries, edited 39 issues of the ROJO®magazine, produced 2 issues of the RUGA®magazine DVD, edited 45 monographic artist books, curated and produced more than 100 art exhibitions, promoted more than 900 events worldwide, as well as created different formats and special events to explore different medias in order for artists to join and enjoy.
One of this formats which David personally curates is NOVA, the brand new creative event which presents live collaborated work in progress processes by more than 100 selected artists from around the world, featuring live art, music & audiovisuals; performances, video screenings, round tables & workshops. The first edition just happened in São Paulo in July/August 2010, and David is now working on the follow up events to happen in Rio de Janeiro and Hawaii in 2011.
David Quiles Guillo has given lectures about ROJO®, its creative networks and processes in Instituto Cervantes in New York City (USA), International Art Fair ARCO in Madrid (Spain), Hagaram Design Museum in Seoul (Korea), Elisava School for Arts Barcelona (Spain), University of Cuenca (Ecuador), CESC Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), European Cultural Foundation in Rotterdam (Netherlands), University of Malaga (Spain), Casino Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Instituto Europeo Di Design - Madrid (Spain), Instituto Cervantes in Casablanca (Morocco), and MIS Museum for Image and Sound in São Paulo (Brazil)
Based in Barcelona (Spain) for the past 15 years, and after travelling around the world with ROJO® for the last 10 years, David recently moved to settled his new home and ROJO®'s creative headquarters in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil).
